Sometimes I just want a big bowl.
Chris loves his sugary cereal, on the mornings he’s off from work. I love my ceareal on the weekends or as a late night snack. I lean towards ”Raisin Bran” most days. Yum. I need the box that contains the EXRA SCOOP of raisins. My all time guilty pleasure is that colorful box of Fruity Pebbles…takes me back to my childhood days of watching cartoons on Saturday mornings.
Healthy alternative
This mornings breakfast: cantaloupe, strawberries, black berries and Galaxy Granola’s new ”Maple Pecan Quinoa” granola.
Mix it all up.
What’s your favorite kind of cereal?
How do you make your breakfast healthy?
Awww, first quick post via Iphone! Gotta love the technology!
Today was an adventure trying out softball gloves. I’ve been practicing with Chris’ for the past week, but must give it back… were on the same team.
Kristin and Trinity went shopping with me but I didn’t commit to a glove…so many choices and fits.
I’ll just wait and borrow one for now.
Kristin and Trin introduced me to Boba Tea after shopping!
DELICIOUS!!
What’s Boba Tea??
A sweet preferably fruit tea containing small tapioca balls. Usually made with fruit or milk.
I had a “Mango” cold Boba tea!
Yum! Perfect Saturday Treat.
Anyone ever tried Boba Tea?? What’s your favorite flavor?
Do you plan your workouts or wing it?
Part of my mission to bounce back & stay in shape is the new workout schedule I have committed to keeping for June (so far so good) and planning ahead keeps me accountable.

Notes: |
Yoga was not on the schedule today, but being a Monday morning I felt the need to stretch and mentally prepare myself for a busy day at the offce.
Let’s not forget to look cute while working out!!
What are your workout plans for the day?
My Grandmother made the best Yakisoba, that she learned to cook while living in Japan, when my grandfather was in the air force. I decided today would be the best day for noodles; I can never get enough of carbs in noodle form.
Vegetarian Yakisoba
Ingredients
- Carrots, chopped
- Bell peppers, chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp of sesame oil (olive oil will work)
- Cooked whole wheat spaghetti
- Morning Star Chick n’ strips (vegetarian)
- Kikkoman Soy Sauce, about 3 tbsps
Directions
While pasta is cooking, Heat the sesame oil in a pan with the garlic and 1 tbsp of the soy sauce. Put the carrots, red and green bell peppers in the pan with the rest of the soy sauce until the veggies start to wilt and soften. Put into a large bowl. Add the cooked pasta, chicken (pre-cooked) and vegetables. Toss until well blended. (You can add any vegetables that you like; it’s great with cabbage but I was out.)
