Love One Another

I’m doing this a little backwards but I’m starting with Sunday instead of the events of Tuesday thru Fri.

That’s how I want to roll….

This weekend, I went to Pride with my good friends Mike, Jeremy and Steve!!

Mike and I finally made our shirts….3 years later. ha-ha

LOVE EVERYONE

Our shirts were the bomb, everyone loved them as we walked the crowds.

Everyone knows ‘’Every gay man needs a FIERCE accessory!’’

*disclaimer* Some do take the ‘’F’’ word and use it in a negative way, but as a fabulous hag, I’ve been given permission to use it in a positive way.

Plus, I don’t like to be called a ‘’fruit fly’’, I learned that new term last week…

Dallas 2010 Pride Parade begins….

My other best friend Jeremy

And his guy Steve…who kept throwing his tall body over me on purpose for beads. (It’s on next year) We’ll see who gets the most beads.

I can’t wait for our next fun event in Oak Lawn, which is the Halloween Block Party.

Getting My Austin Greek On

I’m in the great City of Austin for a HUD training this week until Friday.

My goal this week is to study after classes, but also fit in some fun and check out the city.

Felt like a dream rolling out of bed for a 5:30am treadmill run.

That was a first in a loooong time to be up that early!

Big FAIL forgetting to pack my earphones so I watched TV and busted out 3 miles on the treadmill.

Back in my room, I pulled out my Yoga mat for AB exercises.

The tummy started to rumbled so I made my way to the hotel breakfast bar.

Avoided the good looking doughnuts….boooo LOL

Picked up a strawberry yogurt & banana.

Then came the no flavor eggs and a good half of a bagel with PB & honey.

Greek for Lunch!!

Met a nice lady in class who suggested Greek; so my coworkers and I followed her to ”Austin Greek Deli”, a tiny Mom & Pop deli!

So my coworkers have never eaten Greek but they were daring & adventurous today.

Usually, they are very,very, picky eaters. Shocked they even said YES!

HUGE Gyro filled with greens with seasoned fries on the side.

The service was fast and the food was the BOMB…delicious! Thanks to Cathy, the lady we met in class.

She definitely knew her Greek food

No Bake Granola Bars

I’m good at making those ”no bake” treats.

Inspired by the granola bars Bobbi made earlier this week, I decided to make my own version.

This made my Friday!

I ate half for breakfast and the other half at lunch time.

Grabbed a handful of YUMMY ingredients.

1 cup Galaxy Granola Orange Cranberry
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 peanut butter
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 semi sweet chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients into the food processor, poor and flatten into pan, place in fridge for 30-45 minutes.

Favorite Things

I’m eating Sun Chips like crazy…so delicious.

You can’t go wrong with the original flavor.

I’m addicted to Netflix and the AWESOME new Iphone app, and I’d rather wait for a movie to come out online or in the mail, rather than go to the movies.

My bestie and I have a problem with crying babies every time we see a movie..no matter what movie. (Shake fist) Still waiting on a ‘’No Kids Movie theatre’’.
