Snow No More

Look ya’ll snow in Texas!!!

This snow didn’t stay around too long, by noon the snow had melted away.  :(

Breakfast: Chai Tea and a icky brown banana..still good though.

Snack: peanut butter crackers

Lunch: The best Turkey sandwich EVER!!

My turkey sandwich was simple: Turkey, loads of spinach, light mayo and s&p. I devoured this down, I think I should have eaten a bigger breakfast.

Greek yogurt with raisins. I had tortilla chips, but decided they were too salty to chomp on.

The raisins added the sweetness I was craving.

Yum :P

Dinner: Leftover turkey, sweet potatoes and dressing.  It was good and I ate every bite. No pics…camera died by then.

I added some Christmas to our coffee table last night.

My white/gold candle decided to hide from you…may need a taller one. :)

**News**

I haven’t even ran a official 5k, but I’ve decided to challenge myself and run a half with Kels and some other ladies!  Wish me luck!!  I think I’ve lost my mind, but as long as I train, give it my all…I’m Happy!

Have a great night,

- Nicci

PS. (I forgot to mention I’m doing the Dallas Rock n Roll, March 2010)

Hey Nikki! Thanks for commenting on my blog! I’ve seen your face around on the comments before and it’s nice to visit you…that sounds so creepy but you know what I mean! ;)

I signed up for a half for May and I hear you! I’m unsure what moment of insanity possessed me, but I’m also really excited for it! Can’t wait to follow along in the training!

Go Nicci! 5Ks are so much fun, I’m sure you’ll have a blast…..

Melinda December 3, 2009 at 6:34 am

Wow, snow. I think lots of places are getting snow, but Texas, really?

Taylor@Joy of Food December 3, 2009 at 6:20 am

That’s how it snows here, just a light dusting and it’s gone by the afternoon :(

Running a half marathon is very do-able. I had never run more than 10 miles before training for and running my first full marathon. The body is amazing – it will adapt quickly. Just make sure you keep up with the training schedule, eat healthy and train hard!

Erica December 3, 2009 at 4:38 am

You will totally rock that race girl! All the eats look great. Love the addition of raisins to the yogurt. I <3 raisins and never think to buy them. Love the Christmas decor. I need to finish my decorating. Snow in Texas? That is craziness

Raisins in yogurt!! Great idea!! I always put toppings on my oatmeal, but I don’t ever think to get creative with my yogurt.

Jeri December 2, 2009 at 9:44 pm

i’ve been eating raisins like they’re going out of STYLE lately. they make everything better. :)

Which 1/2 are you looking at? That was the first race I trained for too, did the 5ks later. ;) They’re so addicting.

Hopefully I see you at the half. I’ll be wearing a green top as usual, yell loud if you do see me!! :D

Lee December 2, 2009 at 9:19 pm

The first race that I ever did was a half marathon. You can totally do it!

maria December 2, 2009 at 9:01 pm
